Leaving a Lasting Legacy

Leaving a Lasting Legacy

Current Gifts

"We are so impressed by the caring, careful and loving way Ecumen has long been consistently providing elders the care they want, need and deserve from assisted living, to memory care, to nursing care, to at home care. It breaks our hearts to learn of elders being cared for by Ecumen who feel they have to leave because their financial situation has worsened.

On behalf of those elders, and ourselves, we are so very grateful to Ecumen for having created the Ecumen Honor Fund, which allows us to annually help the ongoing funding these elders need to be comfortable staying where they want to stay-with Ecumen."

Endowment

When my husband suffered a life-altering injury, Ecumen-Lakeshore became home. It was the one place we could find the care Bob's life depended upon. In meeting other residents of Lakeshore, it was evident that they too had found their home within the Ecumen community. As lives and sometimes people's resources change, it is heartbreaking to learn of someone leaving the Ecumen community they love, their home, because of financial constraints. It became important to our family to help build the Honor Fund by giving annually as well as leaving a Legacy Gift that will continue to positively touch the lives of others within our Ecuman communities."

Charitable Gift Annuity

It's been a long and circuitous route that brought Jay Amato and Pat Richard Amato to Ecumen-Lakeshore in Duluth, MN. Both agree that moving there was one of the best choices they ever made. As active members in their community, including hosting opera viewings for fellow Lakeshore tenants, they wanted to make a difference. Their love of Lakeshore living has inspired them to give to Ecumen. They stated, "we decided to give through a Charitable Gift Annuity because we viewed our donation as an investment in our home."
